Earth’s atmosphere “rings” like a bell

At the beginning of the 19th century, the physicist Pierre-Simon Laplace hypothesized that the atmosphere is traversed by pressure waves at the origin of a global phenomenon of atmospheric resonance. For many years, geophysicists will deepen and clarify this idea, in particular by identifying the frequencies expected for these waves. However, it was only recently that a team of researchers was finally able to identify and confirm the presence of these waves, causing the atmosphere to vibrate like a bell.

A ringing bell vibrates simultaneously with a deep fundamental tone and numerous high harmonics, producing a characteristic musical sound. A recent study, published in the Journal of the Atmospheric Sciences by geophysicists at the University of Kyoto and the University of Hawaii at Mānoa, shows that the entire atmosphere of the Earth vibrates in an analogous manner, confirming theories developed by physicists over the past two centuries.

In the case of the atmosphere, “music” emerges in the form of large-scale atmospheric pressure waves covering the globe and travelling around the equator, some moving east to west and others moving west to east. Each of these waves is a resonant vibration of the global atmosphere.

The basic understanding of these atmospheric resonances began with ideas expressed at the beginning of the 19th century by one of the greatest scientists in history, the French physicist and mathematician Pierre-Simon Laplace. Research by physicists over the next two centuries refined the theory and led to detailed predictions of the frequencies of the waves that should be present in the atmosphere. However, the actual detection of such waves lagged behind the theory.

Pressure waves at the origin of a real atmospheric resonance

The new study by Takatoshi Sakazaki, professor at the Graduate School of Science at Kyoto University, and Kevin Hamilton, professor at the Department of Atmospheric Sciences and at the International Pacific Research Center at the University of Hawaii, presents a detailed analysis of the atmospheric pressure observed on the globe every hour for 38 years. The results clearly revealed the presence of dozens of previously predicted wave modes.

The study focused in particular on the waves with periods between 2 hours and 33 hours which move horizontally through the atmosphere, moving around the globe at high speed (exceeding 310 km / h). This establishes a characteristic “checkerboard” pattern of high and low pressure, associated with these waves as they propagate.

“ Our identification of so many modes in real data shows that the atmosphere sounds good as a bell. This finally solves an old and classic problem in atmospheric science, but it also opens up a new avenue of research to understand both the processes that excite waves and the processes that act to dampen waves, “Hamilton concludes.

Why did Rabi Pirzada ask to leave Pakistan?

Former Pakistani singer Rabi Pirzada, who left the world of music, complained about social attitudes, stating the reason for people leaving the country, saying, “She too will leave soon.”

31-year-old Rabi Pirzada, who has been in the news for various reasons, indirectly mentioned the self-criticism in a message released on micro-blogging site Twitter on Thursday, comparing Pakistanis and Indians on occasion.

Rabi Pirzada said in his tweet that ‘in fact, there is a reason why people leave Pakistan. Let me confirm today that Indians are much better than us. They never criticized me.”

Addressing singer Adnan Sami, who renounced Pakistani citizenship and adopted Indian citizenship, he added, “I apologize for what I have said in the past. This nation does not deserve talent, neither your voice nor my paintings.” I will give up too.

Users who responded to Rabi Pirzada’s tweet either expressed their grief or anger over his announcement to leave the country or remained interested in his reasons.

Responding to Rabi Pirzada’s tweet, Adnan Sami expressed his best wishes for his future and wrote, “Find happiness and health wherever you choose to live.”

Rabi Pirzada wrote in response to Adnan Sami’s tweet, “We always tried to humiliate you, accuse you of things you didn’t do” When this happened to me today, I realized how you feel. I apologize to Adnan Bhai too.

Adnan Sami once again replied to Rabi Pirzada and wrote, “Many people make decisions even on things they do not know. They have no right to it. Advising Rabi Pirzada, he further wrote, “This is your life. Live it as you wish.”

When Rabi Pirzada came forward with the exact opposite of the impression created by the tweet based on the announcement of leaving Pakistan a few hours ago, he wrote, “Pakistan is in my blood. Your words or derogatory remarks cannot change my feelings about Mother Earth.

Users who were angry at the announcement of leaving Pakistan kept announcing to follow and block him, but after knowing the background of the matter, some users kept urging the critics of Rabi Pirzada not to do so.

A few days ago, a tweet from a handle called ‘Rabi Pirzada Volunteer Force’ was criticized. Rabi Pirzada said that he had nothing to do with this tweet. In a separate tweet on Thursday morning, he wrote, “When I can’t stop abusing someone, how can I stop saying that?”

It is clear from Rabi Pirzada’s Twitter timeline that the tweet of the handle called ‘Rabi Pirzada Volunteer Force’, the criticism levelled at it and the heated debate over Rabi Pirzada’s response are the reasons for mentioning the reasons for leaving the country.

World temperature will remain at least 1 degree warmer for the next five years

Until 2025, the average temperature on Earth will remain at least 1 degree warmer than the average in the second half of the 19th century. Moreover, there is a one in five chance that the temperature in one of those years will be 1.5 degrees above the average of that pre-industrial era for the first time. These are the main conclusions from the annual climate forecasts of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).

In the Paris climate agreement, almost the entire world agreed in 2015 to keep the temperature rise below 2 degrees and to strive for a maximum of 1.5 degrees of warming. “This study demonstrates – with a high degree of scientific quality – the enormous challenges of meeting the Paris climate goals,” said WMO Secretary-General Petteri Taalas.

The average global temperature is already 1.1 degrees higher than the average in the period 1850-1900, the WMO reported in January. It also turned out that the past five years had been the hottest years on average since the measurements began. The WMO now says that the world temperature in the next five years is very likely to be between 0.91 and 1.59 degrees above that of the pre-industrial era.

‘Corona crisis not an alternative to climate policy.’

The effect of the corona pandemic has not been included in the calculations. Taalas warns governments that the economic crisis and reduced industrial activity cannot replace a sustainable climate policy. “They should seize this opportunity to make climate policy part of the recovery programs. Failure to address climate change has threatened the wellbeing of people, ecosystems, and economies for centuries.”

The research was conducted under the direction of the Met Office, the British counterpart of the KNMI. According to the WMO, the British took advantage of the expertise of leading climate scientists and their best computer models.

Court: Trump is not inviolable, but does not yet have to provide tax information

The US president is not inviolable, but President Trump does not have to give the New York Public Prosecutor access to his financial data for the time being. That is the result of a ruling by the United States Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court, by a majority of 7 to 2, ordered that he should hand over his financial data to the judiciary, but that he can still defend himself before the district court. The case has therefore been referred back to a lower court.

Prosecutor Cyrus Vance requires access to Trump’s tax records and accounts to determine whether he has committed any criminal offenses and, for example, has taken money from foreign powers for his election campaign.

The court ruled that Trump should not block the transfer of the data, because a sitting president in criminal matters is not entirely inviolable.

This part of the ruling is seen as a defeat for Trump, whose lawyers argued that a sitting president is entirely inviolable. Vance speaks of a “huge victory” because it has been found that “not even a president is above the law.”

Possibly after the elections.

But in fact, the court has referred the case back to a lower court, says correspondent Marieke de Vries. A district court must decide whether Trump should hand over his details to the prosecutor. This can take weeks and possibly until after the elections.

In tweets, the president says he thinks it is “unfair” to spend more time as a president on a case before a lower court.

In another case, Congress asked for access to Trump’s financial records. The Supreme Court says that the request is formulated too broadly. The court also referred to this. A district court must decide what Congress can ask for.
Trump has always opposed access to his financial records. It already played a role in the election campaign. Other candidates always gave insight into their financial trade and conduct.

It’s Time People Stop Believing In These Fake Pirs And Mureeds!

Ever wondered who these pirs and mureeds are? We’ve all come across wall chalking where the pirs provide their contact numbers claiming to have supernatural powers and cure to every problem.

My question is how do people really know if these people are authentic or not or if they really have superpowers. It’s just psychological thinking that’s set in these peoples minds. Let’s face it, they’ve proved time and again that they’re quite good at their job of scamming, but at the people who happily volunteer to be used and abused by these charlatans and then go whining about their misfortune to the authorities, seeking commiseration and justice. Who else is to blame when a pir shamelessly asks a grown man to leave his grown-up daughter at his place overnight so he can “cure” her, and he agrees?

First of all  Islamic history has witnessed several pirs who have been helping people with their extraordinary powers which are blessing on them from their Lord. But these Wali Allah are not allowed to disclose their powers, superiority over a common man, they live a simple life like any other human and politely help the people who are in treat problems. Hazrat Junaid Baghdadi, Qutub Uddin Aulia, Data Ganj Bakhsh (etc.) are the names of just a few of the saints who lived an honest life and helped people without getting a single penny in return.

We had only seen these Pirs do their publicity through wall chalkings but now these people are marketing themselves through social media and claim to have a solution to everything be it problem regarding marriage, divorce or get anyone screwed they claim to have a cure for everything.
